Privacy is the architecture
Not a checkbox, not a setting, but the foundational design constraint. Every feature begins with the question: who should be able to see this, and how do we keep everyone else out?
Crossmarc, LLC is a family-owned software company in Colorado.
Crossmarc was founded in 2017 as a software architecture and engineering practice. For years our work was for select clients: designing cloud systems, shaping software architecture, and building the software itself.
In recent years we turned from client work to building our own products. They run on a platform we designed and operate ourselves.
Steward is the first of those products, and it is coming soon. We have other areas of family life in mind, and we will say more about them when there is something real to show.
Crossmarc is owned and run by one family, and it has no outside investors. The people who decide what we build are the people who answer for it.
That shapes how we work. We charge for software, and that is the whole model: no advertising, no data brokering. Our success depends entirely on building something worth paying for.
We believe good stewardship includes generosity. Crossmarc gives at least 10% of its gross profits to charitable causes, including Crossmarc Cares, our own 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Not a checkbox, not a setting, but the foundational design constraint. Every feature begins with the question: who should be able to see this, and how do we keep everyone else out?
Family life operates on generational timescales. Our software is designed for continuity: records that persist, access that transfers, and architecture that does not depend on us staying trendy.
Our products run on a platform we designed and operate ourselves. We choose the services we depend on carefully, keep the list short, and tell you exactly who they are, because your trust should never rest on parties you have not heard of.
